Canalys is thrilled to announce our Channels Forums 2022, with a much-anticipated return to an in-person format. Channel partners, including the most important MSPs, resellers, and system integrators will connect with leaders from the vendor and distribution communities for the events in October and November across EMEA, LATAM and APAC.

As many countries begin to exit the pandemic, the channel’s importance has never been greater, significantly because Canalys predicts the proportion of total IT business transacted via the channel will increase, not decline, over the next five years. The channel has also grown significantly throughout the pandemic, with categories like PCs, cloud services, managed services and cybersecurity seeing robust growth. And the Canalys Forum agenda will align with these fast-growth areas.

“With an end to the pandemic seeming more likely than at any point in the past two years, partners, vendors and distributors have told us loud and clear they’re excited to meet face-to-face. And there is no better place than the largest independent channels events in each region - the Canalys Forum,” said Gemma Edwards, VP Events, Canalys.

This year’s events will capitalize on the trend toward hybrid experiences. Hundreds of attendees are expected to enjoy the on-site experience, with content and networking opportunities further amplified to thousands participating virtually.

The in-person EMEA forum returns to Barcelona for a face-to-face event between 18 and 20 October, marking the 15th edition of the forum. The LATAM forum will be held virtually from 8 to 10 November, followed by an in-person edition of the APAC forum between 15 and 17 November, with the location to be announced soon.

Features of the 2022 forums will include:

  • Expert Hubs: These partner advisory board-style sessions were a huge hit at last year’s forum and will return in person. Expert Hub topics in 2021 included: managed services, sustainability, cybersecurity, the evolution of the workplace, and the future of infrastructure.
  • Platinum Partners: Support from the regions’ most influential partners. In 2021, Platinum Partners included: Atea, CDW, Cancom, Computacenter, Dustin, Elmec, Insight, SCC and Softcat in EMEA; CompuCAD, Disc and Minsalt in LATAM; and Blazeclan, Cloud Comrade, Datacom, Galaxy Office Automation, Shro Systems and Vintcom in APAC. We look forward to these companies, and others, rejoining us in 2022.
  • Seniority: The Canalys Forums are always focused on senior decision-makers, which is more important than ever.
  • Physical experience: A focus on those on-site engagements and touchpoints we have all missed during the pandemic, through exclusive agenda sessions.
  • Virtual experience: Seamless access to crucial insights from Canalys analysts, vendors and partners, and the ability to connect and chat with all participants.

“After two years of the pandemic, we will, of course be measured in our approach to in-person events. Our byword is safety, which means respecting travel rules and local health guidelines. Social distancing and capacity limits have been central policies throughout the pandemic. Sponsors are urged to get in touch soon to avoid disappointment,” said Canalys Events Manager, Eleanor Martin.

“We were amazed by the response to our virtual channels forums in 2020 and 2021,” added Eleanor. “Now we will take the lessons from these landmark digital experiences and combine them with the long-standing successful model for which the Canalys Forums are famous. If business leaders plan to be more selective about travel this year, we are certain the Canalys Forums will offer the best return on their time and attention.”

Vendors and channel partners wanting to participate should get in touch now.
