Canalys Forums returns to an in-person format
Canalys is thrilled to announce our Channels Forums 2022, with a much-anticipated return to an in-person format. Channel partners, including the most important MSPs, resellers, and system integrators will connect with leaders from the vendor and distribution communities for the events in October and November across EMEA, LATAM and APAC.
What can attendees expect from in person?
Canalys loves hosting its events in beautiful, five-star locations each year. Interesting experiences, alongside insightful content and meeting opportunities are what makes the Canalys Forums unique. This year, in person attendees can expect:
- Sunrise activities: Morning yoga? A 5km run while the sun rises? The Canalys sunrise activities will be back.
- Evening celebrations: the event wouldn’t be complete without our Canalys Festival, a chance to informally network with industry peers and enjoy a drink or two together!
- Expert Hubs: These partner advisory board-style sessions were a huge hit at last year’s forum and will return in person. Expert Hub topics in 2021 included: managed services, sustainability, cybersecurity, the evolution of the workplace, and the future of infrastructure.
- Community: Partners, distributors, and sponsoring vendors will all be present in person.
What can attendees expect from virtual?
Virtual engagement remains a critical way to reach the channel, globally. In 2022, virtual attendees of the Canalys Forums can expect:
- Canalys content: Analyst presentations, soundbites and market updates
- Expert Hubs: These partner advisory board-style sessions were a huge hit at last year’s forum and will return in person. Expert Hub topics in 2021 included: managed services, sustainability, cybersecurity, the evolution of the workplace, and the future of infrastructure.
- Meetings: Full access to our 1:1 meeting system will enable you to meet with industry executives who are attending virtually and physically.
How will Canalys manage both experiences?
The strength of the Canalys Forums in 2022 will be how it uses digital tools to create one event experience, no matter where attendees are viewing from.
The virtual world has uncovered many of the benefits that technology brings with it, even those events that have been running for decades. However, the in person Canalys Forums have also benefited from a digital first culture for more than 10 years. Canalys software have underpinned its event culture, with attendees familiar with looking to an application for their meeting details, real time agenda updates, travel information, and notifications.
In 2022, Canalys will bring together the benefits of both the physical and virtual digital experiences into one hybrid format. Attendees can expect to see:
- One digital space, with different attendee journeys: clear differentiation between onsite and virtual attendees, making chat and meeting scheduling even simpler.
- Automatic location allocation: cleverly built into the personal agenda. Virtual meeting? Physical meeting? Hybrid meeting? Our system will easily identify and automatically update attendees meeting locations. Meeting room technology will support digital allocation.
- Gamification for all attendees: Partners will continue to compete individually, and in teams, in the CCF Championship. Competition is tight! Winners will be announced, and prizes unveiled in the closing ceremony.
“Canalys has been running virtual and hybrid events successfully for the last two years via Canapii, its event software. Canapii software was originally built by the channel, for the channel and has senior networking and a streamlined experience at its core. We are proud that longtime supporters of the Canalys Forum, such as HP Inc., Lenovo, Cisco, SCC, Softcat and Tech Data have used Canapii to run their own events over a turbulent 18 months.” Gemma Edwards, VP events, said. Anna Blaney, Marketing and Events Executive added “It really is so exciting to be planning an in person event again, especially when we know it will be backed by such solid infrastructure.”
Canalys will be releasing more information on registration, theme and agenda over the coming months.
Vendors and channel partners wanting to participate should get in touch now.
