Canalys are recruiting for a Senior Analyst position within the Canalys Channels APAC team. The individual will support our research in the Asia Pacific region, focusing on technology channels and core trends across a wide range of technology sectors including infrastructure, cloud and security. The individual must be hungry to drive the innovation within the service, implement ideas, and work with team members to drive commercial success. The individual will be part of a globally dispersed team, and must be able to manage working with colleagues and senior executives from around the world.

 

Job description

  • Meet with customers across the APAC region, with some international travel expected.
  • Attend technology conferences to keep up to date with current major trends.
  • Produce research deliverables for clients.
  • Work with the channels team to grow research and develop client relationships.
  • Work with digital team to improve research and data collection methodologies.
  • Support the sales team to identify new clients for Canalys research and consulting services.
  • Contribute to global research engagements/projects, which may include conducting research interviews.
  • One major presentation annually at the Canalys Channels Forum, showcasing key research.

 

 

Desired skills and experience

  • Fluency in English (fluency in Chinese, Korean, Japanese or another language is a bonus).
  • Ability to communicate with senior executives.
  • Proficient in Office tools: PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Basic understanding of coding, or experience working with developers is a bonus
  • Demonstrated team player.
  • Customer-focused.

 

The individual must have 4+ years of relevant professional experience in either the technology industry, consulting or other professional services. Furthermore, we expect the ideal candidate to have 4+ years of working in the Asia Pacific region.
