Events and Marketing Executive – EMEA
Canalys is looking for an events and marketing executive in its Reading office, to start in May.
The role presents an exciting opportunity for someone organised and self-motivated. We’d love to hear how you’ve recently applied those skills in work, university or doing something else. You may be a recent graduate, or about to be, but we’re also interested in those who’ve taken a different path.
The role requires you to be very ‘hands on’ and you’ll be working on multiple projects. We have a unique growing portfolio of global events where you will have different areas of responsibility. You’ll also be involved in marketing the company’s activities, including social media management, PR, sales comms and videos. We’d love to make your specific skills count and you’ll have the chance to have a measurable impact to clients.
Experience of marketing would be great, as is being able to talk about having more than a passing interest in the fast-paced IT industry.
You’ll be doing a lot of the following:
You’re good at:
We offer the chance to travel and the opportunity to work with a global team in China, Columbia, Singapore and the US. Our events in 2019 are in China, Columbia, Taiwan, Spain and the US, so even if you don’t get to go to all of these, you’ll have a chance to be involved in many of them.
This is a demanding position and covers many areas, but we hope that is what makes it an interesting and rewarding role. You’ll need to have the right to work in UK and you may occasionally need to travel at short notice globally.
Canalys is a fast-growing, successful global company with a relaxed, but hardworking and client-focused culture. We create a platform for innovation and offer an opportunity to become influential in the market. You’ll have the chance to work at a senior level with major IT vendors and our global management team is very accessible, so you’ll have the chance to share ideas with them. We operate a close-knit, inclusive working environment, where ideas are valued and everyone is treated with respect.
